I am not accepting any more '08 weddings:

Due to my having just entered an early semi-retirement, at a very young 63 years of age, I've started drawing Social Security and have earned over the annual earnings-limit set by Social Security...to where I would have to pay them half of everything I make on future '08 bookings, so my CPA told me not to accept any more '08 bookings and to just stay home and enjoy life the rest of the year. (Well, I am still booked up pretty solid until Halloween! So no rest just yet, it seems!)

As far as '09 goes, I'll only be able to accept about 15 weddings without exceeding Social Security's annual earnings limit.

This is going to be quite a change from all the previous recent years where I photographed an average of one wedding per week year 'round!

Remember, I am a very limited resource...and I am VERY UNIQUE in what I do and what I offer and how reasonably I price it to you. Also I only photograph one wedding per day, with a maximum of two weddings per weekend and I personally photograph every wedding myself!

Why am I so rarely available on your wedding date?

The obvious would be to say that brides, who's weddings I've done send me their friends as they get engaged... but every photographer who is any good has that going for them. What I have working for me that other photographers don't, is that I so thoroughly impress other wedding vendors... banquet hall managers, wedding coordinators, florists and top nationally ranked dj's from as far away as Chicago and South Bend, etc., with what I do, how well and how thoroughly I do it and how much I enjoy doing it, that I have a small, but ever growing, army of other wedding professionals that are knocking themselves out trying to send me weddings to photograph... so that they can work with me again! :(One of Chicago's top dj's that I've worked with, has sent me two South Bend, Indiana weddings and two Elkhart, Indiana weddings that I've booked in the last 6 months.)
Every year I have 15 to 20 times as many brides try to hire me as the number of weddings I can photograph. So, if you really want me for your wedding photography, there is no such thing as hiring me too early... sometimes that is the only way to get me, as a matter of fact! If I am not available, some brides in the past even have changed their wedding dates or times so that I could do their wedding photography for them. (Once you to go to a less traveled date... like a Friday evening or a Sunday... all kinds of possibilities open up for you in regards to wedding sites, reception hall availability and the ability to hire the wedding photographer of choice. Guests that normally wouldn't be able to make it on a Saturday, might even be able to attend on a Friday or Sunday.)
